Sleeveless Trench

One of my favorite additions to my Fall wardrobe has been this sleeveless trench you see here. Not only is a sleeveless trench a great way of adding light layers and structure to any look, but it’s also very much in with the oh-so popular “menswear inspired” trend this season.  As you may have predicted, I found this little gem at Marshalls and immediately fell in love with the numerous possibilities of styling it!  I stuck to basics this time around with oxblood skinnies, a white tee and chunky gladiators, but I look forward to wearing it with contrasting, more feminine pieces very soon!

Flower Punch

Hello, my name is Martha and I am a Floral-holic!!

This has certainly been the year of floral print for me, but can you blame me? Floral prints have come a very long way.  Today’s floral prints are not reminiscent of your “abuela’s” curtains, today’s floral prints are abstract, digital, geometric and just plain exhilarating.

Okay, so now that I have declared my addiction and justification for my love of florals, let’s talk about this irresistible, floral skater skirt I found while perusing the racks at TJ Maxx.  With two other floral items already in hand I tried to resist it, but with it’s punchy floral print and $10.00 price tag, surrender was the only option. I grabbed it, held it up for my BFF to approve to which she replied “are you kidding me? That has YOU written ALL over!” Lol!

I decided to tone down the punch a bit with a silky ivory v-neck and cork sandals.  Cork sandals are extremely versatile. I.M.O.: they can be paired with essentially any casual or semi-casual ensemble. I just love them for summer! To kick the punch back up a bit, I grabbed my Vince Camuto Color Block Satchel with a similar punchy tone.     * F.Y. I. Color Block handbags are back with a vengeance for Fall 2014 fashion!

The rest of my outfit details are below!  I hope you enjoy this look as much I did!

Hope you enjoyed the FLOWER PUNCH!

Tweed the Cold

Woohoo Miami! Long behold the much anticipated Miami style “polar vortex” we all look forward to every year! Actually “WE” is a bit extensive, I personally am not a fan of cold temperatures. What I am a big fan of though, is TWEED! Conflicted much? You have no idea.  Anywho, since tweed is not easily worn around Miami without the eminent danger of roasting ones insides, this incredible red tweed jacket from Forever 21 has been dormant in my closet for months!! You would not believe what I paid for this tweed beauty… $39.99, but it truly has the look and feel of a much pricier garb! It’s pretty much my favorite Forever 21 find to date and will be a great way to “Tweed the Cold”! See I how I further glammed out this already luxy F21 find below.  Stay toasty Miami. xoxoxo

Black, White and Spunk

Happy Friday darlings!!

We all know the good ole’ black and white combo is a classic and timeless look, but once in a while you gotta throw in a little spunk!   I’m pretty sure you’ve all figured out by now that one of my favorite methods of adding some spunk to an ensemble is the use of leopard print!  Not only is leopard print stylish and eye-catching, but for me, wearing leopard print comes along with an added boost of confidence (and I know I can’t be the only one).

If you read my blog then you know that I have been salivating over this Kate Spade 2 Park Avenue Beau Bag in Leopard for quite some time now and somehow the planets aligned, the moon and the stars came together and made it happen for me (and by planets, moons and stars I mean sales, added discounts and gift certificates)!  The leopard print version is virtually sold out just about everywhere, but it is still available in a variety of other colors and sizes (here).

Oh my Beau, how I love thee!! Expect to see a lot more of my Beau here on Sun Fun Fashion!

I hope you all have a magical weekend!  Thank you for stopping by!

What I Wore: Weekend Fashion Wrap

Good morning and Happy Veterans Day!  I hope you all had a lovely weekend!  No matter what you are doing today, working, BBQing, boating, whatever. Don’t forget to take a moment to reflect on the meaning and importance of this holiday.  Freedom and liberty are not free.  Our rights and liberties have been and continue to be paid for by the blood, sweat and tears of the selfless and brave men and women that serve this great country. Today I am grateful to the heroes of our nation who sacrifice their lives and time away from loved ones so that we may live in the land of the free.  THANK YOU!

Now, here’s a quick look at What I Wore this weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Razzle Tassel

First and foremost, HAPPY FRIDAY!! I am so excited for the weekend!  No major plans yet, but tonight I am going to happy hour with one of my beautiful cousins at Tobacco Road to celebrate their 101 year anniversary! To those of you who are not from Miami, Tobacco Road is one of the top and longest running bars in Miami offering great food and live music every night! What are your happy hour/ weekend plans?

A few months ago and prior to my trip to California I became obsessed with all things FRINGE!! Dingly, dangly, sexy swinging fringe! It’s fun, it’s fierce and I just love the way it sways with the movement of your body!  Tassels are a type of fringe (in twisted form) and today’s look is all “Razzle Tassel,” from my new favorite necklace, the Bianca Tassel Necklace by Stella & Dot, to my fringe detail, ankle cuff stiletto by MIA Shoes.

This uber comfy sweater dress was a great find at the H & M in Union Square in San Francisco and I just love the sexy, peek-a-boo crochet detail on each side! Comfy and sexy! What more can a girl ask for?

What I Wore: Weekend Fashion Wrap

Hey guys! I’m a day late on my Weekend Fashion Wrap, but hey better late than never right!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  I had a wonderful weekend celebrating Halloween, as well as spending time with my family on Saturday for my niece and nephew’s birthdays. Here’s a look at my 2013 Halloween costume and what I wore for the casual birthday celebration!

The inspiration for my 2013 Halloween costume came from my Black Milk Clothing – Shark v. Mermaid Swimsuit.  I originally borrowed the shark suit from a co-worker with the intention of simply going as a shark attack victim, but where’s the fun and creativity in that? The Little Mermaid and JAWS are two of my all time favorite movies and this costume is the harrowing marriage of the two.  I have to admit, I may have traumatized a few children this Halloween, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it!

Trick or Tweed

Happy Halloween! As a big fan of Halloween, I’ve been in the spirit all week long! Here’s a look at yesterdays Halloween inspired look.

I am completely smitten by this tweed, peach colored skirt by KENAR, just another Marshalls #fabfound I nabbed for only $10.00 on clearance! Tweed is always big for fall and this lovely color matches beautifully with falls browns, tans and creams. This blouse from ZARA is yet another example of my obsession with mixed prints.  The black and white stripes kind of remind me of Beetle Juice! Okay, so maybe I have a little too much Halloween on the brain, but I can’t help it!  Halloween is essentially all about my absolute favorite thing to do, playing dress up!  I will never out grow Halloween! I LOVE HALLOWEEN!

As a matter of fact, I can’t wait to get home this evening and get into my costume for tonight’s Halloween festivities! I am obsessed with my Halloween costume and just can’t wait to share it with you all!

I hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween and don’t forget to stop by later this evening for the reveal of my spooktastic Halloween costume!

White, Black and Jacquard

Today’s look is one of my favorites so far on Sun Fun Fashion! This cobalt blue, jacquard, A-line skirt from Zara is a true statement thread. Jacquard is a texturally rich and visually luxurious fabric named after the Jacquard loom on which it is woven. The Jacquard loom is a mechanical loom, invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard, that simplifies the process of manufacturing textiles with complex patterns. Peep the subtle faux leather waistband enhancing this elegant skirt with a dash of edge. I just love it! It seriously makes me feel like a million bucks!

What do you think?
What makes you feel elegant and luxurious?

I wish you all a happy Friday and hope you all have a magical weekend!
