One wardrobe staple you should not be without this spring is a floral blazer. Not only will a floral blazer completely spruce up your office look, but you can also wear it on the weekends (or to the office, depending on the dress code) with tailored shorts and sky high heels to create a chic summer suit. For a more casual approach, I love wearing my floral blazer with a T-shirt (graphic or not), boyfriend jeans and some killer heels. I got this floral blazer last spring from Forever 21 and it’s definitely one of my best F21 finds. This particular floral blazer is no longer available at Forever 21, but below I have provided 4 other swoon worthy floral blazer suggestions!
Happy Monday Dolls! I wish you all a vibrant week!
Hey guys! I hope you’re all enjoying this gorgeous Sunday! Here’s a little “Boho Chic” outfit inspiration featuring tribal, prints, fringe, gladiator sandals and perforated details (on the handbag), all of which are very popular trends for spring and the upcoming summer!
I am currently road trippin’ with my honey making our way back to Miami from Tampa, so actual links for my outfit details will not be provided, however here’s the low down:
Yellow tee: Zara
Tribal Print Shorts: Marshalls
Fringed Vest: Ross
Gladiator Sandals: Sam Edelman
Perforated Detail Bag: Shoedazzle
I went to Marshalls last week in search of a gift for a baby shower and as I (tried) to walk past the ladies department I couldn’t help being drawn in by this gorgeous TAHARI snake print blouse. Now it’s no secret that I am a sucker for animal prints, I love the way leopard print makes me feel glamorous, zebra print makes me feel playful and snake print just adds that perfect touch of edge I like to throw into my usually ultra- feminine combinations.
For just the right balance of edge and femininity, I paired this blouse with a Radiant Orchid colored pencil skirt. If you don’t already know, “Radiant Orchid” was named “Color of the Year” for 2014 by Pantone- the global authority on all things color related. Described by Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute as “An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.” Need I say more? If you don’t already own something in a Radiant Orchid hue, I suggest you go out and shop for it!
How are you wearing your Radiant Orchid? Let me know in comments below or post a link to your Radiant Orchid look! Thanks for stopping by!
I have an admission to make…. I did an awful job at packing for my recent past trip to Los Angeles! Aside from the outfits, accessories and essentials for the actual FABB conference, I neglected to pack just about everything else! I had no pajamas, no flip flops and only one extra T-shirt (the one you see below). Considering the desperate and deficient circumstances in which the outfit below came to be, I had no intention of photographing this outfit. However, after the Lucky FABB Networking Brunch, my boyfriend and I decided to take a stroll around L.A. and head to the Farmers Market for a late lunch and we came across this gorgeous mural on the side wall of a gas station and I just couldn’t resist snapping a few pics!
I was pleasantly surprised yesterday morning when I opened my blinds to see that my bedroom window was covered in frost! Well, a mixture of frost and humidity, but even the slightest bit of frost is reason enough for me to take advantage and don a little (faux) leather! I bought this KENSIE faux leather top at Marshalls back in Fall and as do so many other things, made it to the lost/found section of my closet (this is the unknown section of my closet where things get unexplicably lost only to be found again tags and all months later).
I incorporated a very popular 2014 springtime trend by accessorizing with this fringed necklace I got from Loehmanns ions ago! Fringe is the new black, I’ve been saying this for months now. However, if fringed clothing is not your stylo’, perhaps you can give the trend a try using a more subtle approach such as fringed accessories, shoes or handbags. See other examples of my obsessive use of fringe here and here.
Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! With a wedding and very special surprise birthday party to attend, this past Saturday proved the perfect day to debut the dress I consider the “Holy Grail” of the Peter Pilotto x Target Collection. The Jacquard Dress in Red Iris Print was the single most coveted piece of the collection, and at 3:00 a.m. on February 9, 2014, when I placed this dress in my shopping cart on Net-A-Porter.com, it took every fiber of my being to stop myself from screaming excitedly up and down the halls of my apartment building like a lunatic!
Just a few short hours later, this beauty was being resold on e-Bay for up to three times its original price of $79.99. I’m not going to lie, had I failed to purchase it directly from Target or Net-A-Porter for its original price, I would have paid double and would not have regret it for a second.
From the eye popping colors; genius geo-floral print; rich textured fabric; playful, pleated, tulle enhanced skirt; and fabulous bodice top. This dress is the most exquisite item to come out of any Target designer collaboration to date!
I went for an ultra playful and colorful spring look by adding blue (faux) suede shoes from Shoedazzle, a light blue clutch from Ann Taylor Loft and minimal accessories.
Hey guys! I just wanted to quickly wish you all a Happy Friday and share with you my #OOTD. I wish you all a splendid weekend and as always thank you for stopping by! HAPPY FRIDAY!! I just wanted to quickly share with you all my #ootd and wish you all a marvelous weekend! The majority of my outfit was purchased at Loehmanns, which as most of you may have heard recently filed for Chapter 11 and after 93 years in business, will be closing all their stores very soon. If you know me, you know Loehmanns is MY STORE (next to Marshalls, of course) and although I am deeply saddened by Loehmanns’ liquidation process, the killing I made at the liquidation sale came of some consolation. If you’ve never been to Loehmanns, well now’s the time. Good bye Loehmanns, its been great! I still haven’t figured out what I’m supposed to do with my Saturday afternoons from here on out, but SHOPPING must go on.
I also wanted to take the opportunity to thank my dear friend Teri Rodriguez (she’s the beauty in the last picture below) for being my go-to photographer and major supporter! Oh yeah, and on Friday’s we wear PINK! Lol!
Fuschia Blazer: Calvin Klein c/o Loehmmans; Black Turtleneck: Max Studio c/o Loehmanns; Necklace: Loehmanns; Black Leather Boots: Calvin Klein c/o Loehmanns; Polka-Dot Skirt: Forever 21; Black/White Clutch: EXPRESS (Christmas gift from my fab sissy, Victoria); Earrings: Shoedazzle; Sunnies: Rayban- Clubmaster 3507.
