Summer Lovin’

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Yup! Summa Time! And nothing says summer quite like maxi dresses! I’ve had this gorgeous Jessica Simpson pleated maxi dress sitting in my closet since my friend’s pre-wedding celebration in Mexico as seen in this post.

I knew the next time I wore this dress I wanted to style it in a more casual fashion, therefore I opted for another summer staple no woman (or man) should be without; a Blazer Vest!  If you know me, you know I have an obsession with blazers.  Well, blazer vests are just perfect for our steamy Miami weather, however they also transition well into the fall and winter months.  Not that Miami has fall or winter, but just follow along.  Blazer vests are incredibly versatile, they pair great with shorts, skirts, pants or leggings and I just love pieces that can be dressed up and down for the day or night.

I am a little sad I couldn’t get pictures that truly depict the flow and beauty of this dress,  it was actively raining while my dear friend Teri snapped the photos below.  I’m hoping for better weather this weekend!

Floral Jumpsuit

Hey Dolls! This past Friday I attended my friend Jonathan’s medical school graduation party at The Bar at Level 25 of the Conrad Hotel.  The Bar at Level 25 is beautifully located on the 25th floor of the Conrad Hotel and provides ravishing views of Miami’s skyline, a mod ambiance and delightful sips and bites. This venue is a great place to host a party or unwind for happy hour!  I am so proud of my friend for his huge accomplishment and very thankful for the fun times Friday night.

I wore this Nasty Gal x Shakuhachi floral jumpsuit that I seriously want to live in. Jumpsuits are so incredibly comfy and totally trending for spring and summer! This particular jumpsuit is sold out, but here, here, here, here and here are a few similar styles currently tickling my fancy!

I wish you all a wonderful evening! Thanks for stopping by!

Snake Charmer

Hey Dolls! I hope you all had a productive and kick ass Monday! Here’s a look at what I wore to work yesterday.

I have a theory about “Dressing to Impress” on Mondays….

“When you look good, you feel good; when you feel good, good things happen; and when good things happen on Monday, the rest of your week is sure to flourish.”

So go ahead, do it! Dress to Impress, always, but most importantly to start off your work week!

Tomorrow I am introducing another weekly feature here on Sun Fun Fashion! I invite you to stop by tomorrow for “Fancy Wednesdays”!!

California Dreamin’

Hey Dolls!! Do you know that overwhelming feeling you get when you have a long, time consuming task at hand?  Well, that is the feeling I’ve experienced every time I sit down to compose my post about my recent trip to California.  With an excess of over 500 pictures to organize and choose from, can you blame me?  So, in order to finally get the wheels turning and avoid the stress of a lengthy blog post, I have decided to break up the posts by each region of California I visited.  Let’s start with my first stop….. Los Angeles!

Our main interest in L.A. was visiting and spending time with our good friends Japheth and Adrien who almost a year ago brought one of the cutest, smartest and most charismatic little girls I have ever met into the world.  Her name is Nova Snow and I am totally smitten by her charms.  You will see what I mean in the pictures below.

During our time not spent with the wonderful Nova Snow and her parentals, we did the tourist thing around L.A. and visited The Chinese Theater, Dolby Theater and Hollywood Walk of Fame!  Sooooooooo Hollywood!
