The recent completion of New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and the current happening of London Fashion Week (LFW) have me completely immersed in fashion magazines and fashion shows diligently taking notes on what fashionistas around the world will be wearing in 2015.
What’s hot for each season is primarily determined by high-end designers and although many (including myself) cannot afford to don the exact looks straight from the runways of NYFW or LFW, whose to say you can’t take a little inspiration from the themes and styles of the runways and create your own affordable versions of them?
Here’s my take on this digital Geo Floral garden as inspired by Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2015 Ready to Wear Collection.
So, I’ve flipped through the “glossies” and browsed through endless 2013 New York Fashion Week (“NYFW”) runway shows to select and share with you all my top rated trends for 2014 fashion!
Every year, for a very special week in February, New York City becomes the mecca of all things FASHION! Designers from all over the world flock to NYC to showcase their collections for the upcoming fashion season and last year’s NYFW catwalks were heavy on 1) Metallics; 2) Fringe; 3) Athletic Inspired Wear; 4) Heavy Embellishments; and 5) Graphic and Geometric Prints.
NYFW 2014 is currently occurring at this very moment as we speak (I type) and I gotta tell you, having a seat (in any row) at any show and getting a tangible first look and foretelling the future of the upcoming year’s fashion on Sun Fun Fashion is my all-time biggest dream. Well, next to cage diving with Great White Sharks. True story. I’ll be there one day. Both, in the cage (probably shitting my pants in a wet suit) and overly dressed on a cushioned folding chair at NYFW. You gotta believe in your dreams, no one else is going to believe in them for you. Dreams come true, when you work your ass off, but they come true.
In the meantime, I’m practicing my due diligence and living NYFW 2014 via the “www” through live streamed runway shows and Instagram to report and exhibit via Sun Fun Fashion what’s hot for Fall 2014 and Spring 2015. Stay tuned!
