What I Wore: Weekend Fashion Wrap

Hey guys! I’m a day late on my Weekend Fashion Wrap, but hey better late than never right!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  I had a wonderful weekend celebrating Halloween, as well as spending time with my family on Saturday for my niece and nephew’s birthdays. Here’s a look at my 2013 Halloween costume and what I wore for the casual birthday celebration!

The inspiration for my 2013 Halloween costume came from my Black Milk Clothing – Shark v. Mermaid Swimsuit.  I originally borrowed the shark suit from a co-worker with the intention of simply going as a shark attack victim, but where’s the fun and creativity in that? The Little Mermaid and JAWS are two of my all time favorite movies and this costume is the harrowing marriage of the two.  I have to admit, I may have traumatized a few children this Halloween, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it!

It’s All About the Tricks

Based on my social media outlets it appears the majority of you spent this past weekend celebrating Halloween! From what I saw, it seems 2012’s most popular Halloween costumes are related to politics, zombies or super heroes.  It may be a little early to declare a winner for my favorite Halloween costume, but of the ones I saw this weekend, my friend Falco and his lovely fiance Brenda dressed as the “Sun Drop Citrus Soul Mates” took the cake!  if you’ve never seen the Sun Drop Citus Soul Mates commercial prepare to ROTFL!  I can just picture them both “dropping it like it’s hot” up and down Lincoln Road.

As for me, if you read my previous post you know that I spent this past weekend at “The Shower Games” and today being a Wednesday it is not very likely I will go all out “tricking” or “treating.” But, since I LOVE HALLOWEEN and I’m not really supposed to “dress up” at work, I decided to “not dress up” as Audrey Hepburn with things I already had in my closet.  If there is anything to take in from this timeless fashion icon it’s that every woman should own a LBD (little black dress) a string of pearls and a tiara!
