Easy Breezy Boho Chic

Hey guys! I hope you all are having an “Easy Breezy” weekend so far.  I will be spending most of my weekend taking part in my new favorite past time: working on Baby G’s (Baby Guenechea) nursery!  I am very proud of our progress so far, we’ve painted; built the crib, dresser, changing table; and organized Baby G’s clothing (or at least what clothing we have so far).  Despite the progress we still have so much work to do! Preparing for a baby is an enormous amount of work and I don’t want to leave anything for the last minute.  I shared a little sneak peek at the nursery on IG earlier this week (here), but I can’t wait to share the final outcome with you all!

Here’s an “Easy Breezy” shirt dress look I put together with the help of a few colorful boho accessories.  I love this shirt dress because it is work or weekend appropriate, lightweight and will carry over well sans baby bump.  I’ve been very selective about my maternity style purchases ensuring that I select items that I can also make use of after pregnancy.  Consider that my #1 maternity style tip!  I’ll be working on a list of maternity style tips this week and sharing them on the blog very soon!

I wish you all a wonderful weekend and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Tribal Print

Hey Dolls! I hope you all had a nice weekend!  I am simply glad that I am finally recuperating from the dreaded flu I suffered from this past week and that I felt well enough to attend my friend’s bridal shower on Saturday.  I wore this adorable tribal print fit-n-flare TOPSHOP dress.  Whenever I wear tribal prints I can’t resist the urge to accessorize with fringe! They just go together like teepees and Indians, don’t you agree?

I wish you all a healthy and productive week!

xoxo

Leather Weather

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday morning when I opened my blinds to see that my bedroom window was covered in frost!  Well, a mixture of frost and humidity, but even the slightest bit of frost is reason enough for me to take advantage and don a little (faux) leather!  I bought this KENSIE faux leather top at Marshalls back in Fall and as do so many other things, made it to the lost/found section of my closet (this is the unknown section of my closet where things get unexplicably lost only to be found again tags and all months later).

I incorporated a very popular 2014 springtime trend by accessorizing with this fringed necklace I got from Loehmanns ions ago! Fringe is the new black, I’ve been saying this for months now. However, if fringed clothing is not your stylo’, perhaps you can give the trend a try using a more subtle approach such as fringed accessories, shoes or handbags.  See other examples of my obsessive use of fringe here and here.

Sweater Weather

Although I consider myself an enemy of the cold, I have to admit I have been thoroughly enjoying this recent Miami “Sweater Weather”.  I just LOVE this cozy, fringe, knitted sweater I got from H&M back in August of 2013!  The fringe detail adds a fun twist to an otherwise “granny” type sweater.  In an effort to further steer clear of any type of “granny” comparison, I added a bit more funk by pairing it with some funky, chunky leopard print pumps!  VOILA! Comfy yet funky.  WIN in my fashion book!

By the way, just as I anticipated (here) and (here), FRINGE is expected to be HUGE for Spring 2014 Fashion!  So go ahead- embrace your inner Pocahontas and have fun with FRINGE in 2014!

P.S. I am currently working on a post that will feature my top rated trends for 2014, including FRINGE so stay tuned and thank you for stopping by!

Toodles!

Razzle Tassel

First and foremost, HAPPY FRIDAY!! I am so excited for the weekend!  No major plans yet, but tonight I am going to happy hour with one of my beautiful cousins at Tobacco Road to celebrate their 101 year anniversary! To those of you who are not from Miami, Tobacco Road is one of the top and longest running bars in Miami offering great food and live music every night! What are your happy hour/ weekend plans?

A few months ago and prior to my trip to California I became obsessed with all things FRINGE!! Dingly, dangly, sexy swinging fringe! It’s fun, it’s fierce and I just love the way it sways with the movement of your body!  Tassels are a type of fringe (in twisted form) and today’s look is all “Razzle Tassel,” from my new favorite necklace, the Bianca Tassel Necklace by Stella & Dot, to my fringe detail, ankle cuff stiletto by MIA Shoes.

This uber comfy sweater dress was a great find at the H & M in Union Square in San Francisco and I just love the sexy, peek-a-boo crochet detail on each side! Comfy and sexy! What more can a girl ask for?

Wild Wild West

Hey everyone!  Hope you all had a lovely weekend!  I am so way behind on my blogging I feel like I am going to explode from the overload of posts I have planned for the near future!  As you all know I was recently in California on vacation and saying that I fell in love with the Golden State is an understatement-(blog post coming soon).

What I find most rewarding about traveling is the learning, influence and enrichment of different cultures and styles.  California is abundant with a variety of different races, cultures and customs, but when I think of California (not sure why) the first thing that always comes to mind is the Wild, Wild, West.  With this theme in mind, my outfit choices for California were pretty heavy on western influenced trends such as tribal prints, suede, denim and fringe…..lots of fringe!  Fringe is my new black, I am obsessed!

I wore this outfit in California but didn’t take the time to memorialize it with pictures (I must have been having too much fun) so I decided to wear it again this past Saturday in Miami for a little shopping in Midtown and a birthday celebration! More looks from my trip to California coming soon. What do you think of this one?
