Hey everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend! I am so way behind on my blogging I feel like I am going to explode from the overload of posts I have planned for the near future! As you all know I was recently in California on vacation and saying that I fell in love with the Golden State is an understatement-(blog post coming soon).
What I find most rewarding about traveling is the learning, influence and enrichment of different cultures and styles. California is abundant with a variety of different races, cultures and customs, but when I think of California (not sure why) the first thing that always comes to mind is the Wild, Wild, West. With this theme in mind, my outfit choices for California were pretty heavy on western influenced trends such as tribal prints, suede, denim and fringe…..lots of fringe! Fringe is my new black, I am obsessed!
I wore this outfit in California but didn’t take the time to memorialize it with pictures (I must have been having too much fun) so I decided to wear it again this past Saturday in Miami for a little shopping in Midtown and a birthday celebration! More looks from my trip to California coming soon. What do you think of this one?

Hi lovelies!! It seems like forever since I last stopped by to gush about all the girly fabulous things that cross my mind on a daily basis, but I am back and boy have I missed you all! You might ask, what could possibly be so important that I would neglect Sun Fun Fashion? Well, moving and decorating a new apartment, TRYING to get into shape (yup the summer has arrived), work, more work and of course the NBA Playoffs….. LET’S GO HEAT!!
However, before it becomes ancient history, I wanted to share with you a little bit about an event I recently attended in Wynwood. Two weekends ago I attended the debut solo art exhibition of ATOMIK- a very talented and respected native Miami graffiti artist who I am very lucky to call a friend.
Never has the art of graffiti been more rightfully embraced and celebrated in Miami than it has in the past few years since the transformation of Miami’s warehouse district into the Wynwood Art District. On any given day you can take a stroll through Wynwood and be blown away by the ravishing murals exhibited on virtually every corner and although ATOMIK’s raw artistic talent goes way beyond the boundaries of Wynwood and Miami-Dade, it was at the Terminal Gallery in Wynwood that ATOMIK exhibited 24 different versions of his trademark “smirking orange.” Check out the pics below to see my favorite versions of ATOMIK’s orange and if you’d like to know more about ATOMIK check out this great interview on the Miami New Times. You can also see more of his work at the Futurama Art Gallery on 1687 SW 8th Street, Miami, Florida 33135.
As always thanks for stopping by! Happy Friday y’all!
