Floral Jumpsuit

Hey Dolls! This past Friday I attended my friend Jonathan’s medical school graduation party at The Bar at Level 25 of the Conrad Hotel.  The Bar at Level 25 is beautifully located on the 25th floor of the Conrad Hotel and provides ravishing views of Miami’s skyline, a mod ambiance and delightful sips and bites. This venue is a great place to host a party or unwind for happy hour!  I am so proud of my friend for his huge accomplishment and very thankful for the fun times Friday night.

I wore this Nasty Gal x Shakuhachi floral jumpsuit that I seriously want to live in. Jumpsuits are so incredibly comfy and totally trending for spring and summer! This particular jumpsuit is sold out, but here, here, here, here and here are a few similar styles currently tickling my fancy!

I wish you all a wonderful evening! Thanks for stopping by!

Flashback Friday

Happy Friday! I know I’ve previously mentioned my obsession with mixing leopard print with floral and this here is a subtle demonstration of that. The way I see it, leopard print is a neutral and can be paired with just about any other color and (for the daring and fashion forward) a variety of prints and patterns.

Now, let’s flash back twenty- something years and let’s talk about every young girls obsession with LISA FRANK. From stickers, school supplies and stationary, to t-shirts, posters and bedroom décor, for me, there was something infectiously irresistible about anything with the name Lisa Frank splattered on it. In retrospect, it was Lisa Frank’s trifecta of color, floral and animal print that captivated my young fashionable mind and to this day continues to inspire my fashion sense. So today’s look is a subtle tribute to Lisa Frank! A little floral, a little leopard, a little color and a whole lot of va-va-voom!

What do you think?

Flower Power

Few things have the power to elicit a smile and brighten one’s day like the receipt, or mere sight of flowers.  Flowers are symbols and producers of love, health, beauty, kindness and so many other wonderful human emotions.  I love floral prints because they make me feel romantic, feminine and just plain happy!  Combining floral prints with pastels….Well, the result is pure bliss! Another combination I am fascinated with right now is floral and leopard print…. It may sound crazy, but I will show you how to make it work!  Stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting!!

A Stroll Through The Barnacle

So far one of my favorite parts about the Sun Fun Fashion project has been the photo shoots. Not so much the part where I “nonchalantly” parade around a pool/park/alley in 5 inch heels, but choosing locations for the shoots is encouraging me to further explore this beautiful city I love so much. This shoot took place at The Barnacle Historic State Park after having lunch with my dear friend (and photographer) Liseth at Greenstreet Cafe in Coconut Grove. (Note to self: STOP eating before photo shoots!!) I learned of this lovely location a few years back when I was doing wedding planning, but my visits were always strictly work and no play. This time around, I strolled (in my 5 inch heels), wandered and gave into the true beauty of this charming location.

The Barnacle, built in 1891 was originally the home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, one of Coconut Grove’s most influential pioneers. As you enter the park you amble through a long, curving road surrounded by lush landscape and hardwood hammock. As you approach the beautiful two-story historic home, before your eyes is one of the most amazing views of Biscayne Bay in all of Miami. The Barnacle is a perfect place to lay under a tree and read a book, have a picnic, do some yoga or even host your wedding. Check out the beautiful sites and what I wore for this lovely stroll through The Barnacle.
