Kate Spade Surprise Sale

Kate Spade Surprise Sale

Hey Dolls! For as long as I can remember I have always been a HUGE Kate Spade fan.  As a matter of fact, my first ever “high-end” brand name handbag was a Kate Spade purse my cousin brought back from a trip to NYC for me!  I’ve since expanded my Kate Spade collection to include several handbags, jewelry, shoes and accessories!  I just love the brand’s use of colors and playful prints!  Well, starting today and for the next three days Kate Spade is hosting a “Surprise 75% OFF Sale” on select items.

Below are my picks from the sale, what are you eyeing?

Little Miss Happy Pants

I’ve noticed myself wearing a whole lot of blue and yellow lately.  Although I usually go through phases when it comes to color combos, it’s pretty safe to say that blue and yellow is without a doubt my favorite color combination.  I guess its no coincidence, I mean look around……no really, look at the facade of my Sun Fun Fashion page….

Okay, so I love blue and yellow, now let’s talk about my “Happy Pants”!  These blue(ish) damask printed pants are another Marshalls #fabfound I scored for only $19.99! “Damask print” is most commonly seen in black and white and most often used in home décor or wallpapering, but as you can see looks pretty fabulous on a pair of pants.  Printed pants are a great way of adding a little sass to your wardrobe and your step, wink wink.  You can wear them with solid colored tops (as seen below) or if you’re feeling crazy (as I often do) you can go for a head-to- toe mixed print look. Click here, here, here and here for more “Happy Pants” looks on Sun Fun Fashion!

How do you add fun and sass to your look?

How Sweet It Is

Yesterday I attended my cousin Cecilia’s baby shower at Crazy About You in Brickell. The theme of the baby shower was “How Sweet It Is….To Be Blessed With a Baby Boy” and our entire family couldn’t agree more, we are sooo excited for the birth of baby Roger!  Although Crazy About You has been part of Miami’s dining circuit for quite some time now, this was my first time  there and I was pretty impressed.  The food is delicious, the ambiance is that of a swanky lounge and the decor is warm and elegant, but the highlight of this restaurant is its prime location on Brickell Bay Drive facing an amazing view of Biscayne Bay, the Port of Miami and Miami Beach. With so much surrounding beauty, how could I not initiate a mini-photoshoot to share with you guys…. WHAT I WORE!

Color blocking is one of my favorite ways of wearing color and if you know me, you KNOW I LOVE COLOR! Color blocking was huge in 2012 from runways and home design, to salons everywhere (remember the very popular color-blocked nails).  Well, this year the color blocking madness continues with color blocked hair (Hombre), shoes (cap-toe shoes are everywhere) and handbags.

My look consists of two color blocked pieces, the dress by Calvin Klein c/o Marshalls originally came with a thin white, patent leather belt, but I swapped it for a belt with a little more panache; and the handbag by Vince Camuto, is a recent obsession of mine which is also sold in shades of blues and off white (here). See how it all came together below and my full outfit details following the pics. I hope all of you are having a Sun, Fun, Sunday!

The Brightest Crayon in the Box

So today’s look is to no surprise all about color! I just love spring and summer fashion because there is no wrong way of wearing color. When it comes to fashion, being a lifelong Miami girl has beguiled my interest in following seasons, but at least during spring and summer I can be slightly less concerned about walking around looking like I got into a fight with a Crayola box.

I wore this to work today and was super comfy in my bright yellow studded flats from Shoedazzle.  The skirt c/o Macys is a beautiful blue that reminds me of my favorite color in the Crayola box “Cerulean”; the ruffled sleeve white T-shirt is from GAP; and the colorful necklace was a gift from one of my lovely sisters from Forever 21.

Color Me Good

I love staring at my closet and seeing color, color and more color.  So it’s of no surprise that I would instantly fall in love with this blouse at first sight.  The colorful “brushstroke” print reminds me of a Claude Monet painting, but my favorite part about this blouse is the band collar.  I wore this outfit to work last Friday, the blouse is sleeves but if you recall last Friday was pretty chilly so I threw on this blue/grey blazer which actually perfectly matches one of the colors on the blouse.  This faux ostrich skin bag from Ivanka Trump was a Christmas gift from me to moi and the white bib necklace was a “just because” gift from my sweet mother.  It turned out a great look for an after work happy hour date.  What do you think?
